Official Declaration of Disaster and Extension DECLARATION OF LOCAL STATE OF DISASTER 

WHEREAS, on or about July 17, 2026, City of Carrizo Springs experienced heavy rainfall resulting in flash flooding damaged infrastructure, hazardous travel conditions, and threats to public health and safety; and 

WHEREAS, the event has caused or threatens to cause widespread damage to public infrastructure, private property, roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other public facilities, while creating dangerous conditions for residents throughout Carrizo Springs; and

NOTICE TO BOIL WATER / UPDATE NOTICE UPDATE

On July 18, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Carrizo Springs public water system, TX0640002 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
