ORIGINAL NOTICE

Due to a main line break that has caused a major water leak, the City of Carrizo Springs ID# 0640002 is notifying citizens of the need to boil water prior to consumption.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking and cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water, the water system official will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

The city continues to work diligently to repair the water leak and is trying to address it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation in advance.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, you may contact the City of Carrizo Springs Water Official, Mr. John Camarillo, at 830-876-2476 or call City Hall at the same number. If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239- 4691.
