WATER UPDATE

The City of Carrizo Springs would like to maintain the community informed regarding the water situation with which we are experiencing.

City crews, with the support of private entities, and the City of Crystal City are in the process of repairing a 20 inches transmission line that broke located about 4 miles outside of the city limits. This transmission line is the main source of water for the city.

Dimmit County Emergency Management has been contacted and are promptly working on providing non-drinking water to the community. The city is distributing nondrinking water at HEB, 400 North 5th Street and on Wildcat drive for your convenience.  Please provide your own containers.

HEB has notified us that they have plenty of drinking water for sale without limits.

Please continue to conserve water during this emergency.

The city continues to work diligently to repair the water leak.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation in advance.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, you may contact the City of Carrizo Springs Water Official, Mr. John Camarillo, at 830-876-2476 or call City Hall at the same number. If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239- 4691.
