Welcome to Carrizo Springs
The City of Carrizo Springs is the county seat of Dimmit County, Texas. The name Carrizo Springs, which is Spanish for a type of cane grass once common in the area, derives from similarly named springs in the area. Carrizo Springs was founded in 1865 by settlers from Atascosa County and is the oldest town in Dimmit County.
Letters To Santa

To the City of Carrizo Springs

“Thank you”

Carrizo Springs Elementary would like to extend a huge appreciation to the City of Carrizo Springs and Mayor-Pro Tem Ms. Sofia Morones.  The city delivered a Santa mailbox to CSE on Monday, December 12th for all the kids to write and mail their letters to Santa.  The children had an opportunity to personally drop their Santa letters in the mailbox.  The City of Carrizo Springs will make sure all letters are delivered to Santa at the North Pole.

CSE and their students both thank the City of Carrizo Springs for thinking and caring for the children of our city!   We wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
